Irish musicians Brendan and Siobhan McKinney named this northwest-side pub and restaurant after Francis O’Neill, Chicago’s first Irish police chief (and a champion of Irish music.)  The entire bar—chairs, tables, bar fittings—was imported from Ireland.  Since 1999, Chief O’Neill’s has had the privilege of serving Chicagoland as well as many people from around the world.

Chief O'Neill's is a Pub, Restaurant, and Banquet facility, with a majestic garden area, offering a dinner menu of traditional Irish fare, along with a very popular lavish Sunday Brunch Buffet, and many special creations from our executive chef.  For private events we have an extensive catering menu for all tastes.  We can customize parties of up to 450 guests.

With the majestic garden area and private rooms to choose from Chief O’Neill’s is perfect to host any event.  There are two upscale private dining rooms, one on the main floor that seats 75, and a second upstairs that seats 50.  The pub room with its rich dark wood tones throughout is perfect for a cocktail party.  In the warm months the spacious garden can seat close to 300 guests.  Private rooms are available during and outside regular business hours.

Chief O’Neill’s, listed as one of the top ten pubs in America by Americas Best & Top Ten, offers the notable character of an Irish Pub but can also be transformed into the most elegant of venues.  We have access to many vendors that can provide custom flourishes to create the perfect event.
